Disappointed. SO, disappointed.
I started with the first book and got hooked. The story line was great, I loved all the characters and Hilderbrand left readers wondering at the end.
The second book was meh, I was thinking ‘okay, she’s just trying to bridge us to the big finale for the third book.’ WRONG.
I gave one star because I’ve wasted time (and money) on these last two books and they were so disappointing. It felt rushed and no where near the standards that this author normally puts forth on books.
The third story was not interesting and had no climactic ending. There were weird thoughts from characters. We read about unnecessary back stories for some other ones. And the last 1/3 of the book was a bunch of rushed paragraphs.
It was horrible. Like other reviewers, I’ll echo what they said. I’m hoping that now this series is wrapped up we can get back to the quality stories we are used to from Hilderbrand because this series was not it.
