This was one of those books where I’m not quite sure if it’s me .. or the book. In the end, this story wasn’t for me.
The writing didn’t pull me in by any means.
The characters felt flat or personality traits forced.
The storyline felt unrealistic. Situations coming out of left field. For example, she never once monitored what her daughter was doing on the iPad? The twist at the ending. Having such an angry dad. The running with no Monday. Then on top of it.. the weird romance. The odd, way too quick forming, nicknames/petnames for one another. It was awkward and unnatural.
The thrill was ‘fun’ but not enough to keep my interested enough to give this book a rating higher than 2.5 stars rounded down to 2.
Also quick side annoyance, the title of the book doesn’t make sense. I remember seeing the title in the story … but … the danger is known. We know where the danger is coming from the whole time/most of the time… So… as a very literal person, this doesn’t make sense.
