Twisty and exciting. A wonderfully unique thriller.

Two women. One dead husband. And only one alibi.
This was a tricky one.
At the end, I felt as if I could see the plot laid out on a bulletin board in Ashley’s office. It felt overly complicated, but also totally made sense. The perfect complication you want in a who-dun-it thriller.
I really think she did an excellent job weaving this story. I loved the way the chapters cut and we went before and after the alibi. I do feel as if I should’ve paid more attention to the dates but really I focused on whether the chapter was before or after.
My only criticism with the book is there is a large cast of characters. It can get a little confusing. For some reason, I constantly confused Aubrey and Camille… I don’t think it’s very hard to keep them straight, but it was for me. (Anyone else?)
The beginning is a hot mess of confusion. I feel the author was trying to get us to dive right in and have an exciting start, but it was a bit too much chaos so I think she lost a lot of of her readers. (Looking at some reviews, if people DNF’d they did it because of the chaos in the beginning, so that’s sad.)
If you have started this book and feel you don’t want to finish because the beginning, I would urge you to keep going. It really does get better. The ending is satisfying. The back-and-forth and revealing new point of views is also thrilling.
A wonderful thriller that I’m really glad I picked up. I would recommend this to all my reader friends.
