A crazy, ‘cozy-thriller’ read …
I’m all in for this writers writing about writing trend!

Liv gets an opportunity to attend an exclusive writers retreat.
Liv is quickly reunited with her past. She needs to face what happened. But with a killer loose, is it worth it?
WHAT A RIDE.
The Writer’s Retreat may get the award for the most overdramatic, over-the-top book I’ve read this year.
I’d call this book … a cozy thriller. It’s not the ‘best’ book. It’s not mentally demanding. Which you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. At only 292 pages as well, you can easily sit down and read this in one sitting.
You might roll your eyes a few times while reading, but you might also enjoy yourself.
If you have history with mean girls, this could trigger you. It was less psycho and more high school mean girl. Which for me, was disappointing. I was looking for a dark thriller. Which I thought I was getting with the cult twist. Unfortunately, that story arc fell off and got mixed in with the melodramatic friendship drama.
Overall, the writing was great. The characters were varied and entertaining. An easy read for the win!
