Watching You By: Lisa Jewell

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Tom Fitzwilliam moved to town. Tom Fitzwilliam is a teacher. Tom Fitzwilliam is a teacher with a past or is it all one big misunderstanding. Tom seems to be the center of attention … or is he?

Everyone is watching everyone in this Jewell thriller. Filled with layers, twists and a whole cast of characters with their own secrets.

I read this awhile ago and for the life of me I’m struggling to remember the whole story line. Maybe that’s where my 3 stars come in.

I do remember enjoying the story. It was easy reading, the cast of characters I didn’t like or dislike. The twists were fun and not totally predictable.

It’s a slow burn as the reader figures out what is going on but the initial glimpses of characters that Jewell gives leaves the reader feeling suspicious of everyone.

Overall enjoying slowly making my way through Jewell’s back catalogue (or her “oeuvre” as I just learned).
