Breaking the norm with these unlikely characters..

First and foremost, I loved the characters Gardner created for this story. Each person was so interesting, so different and had clear voices. The book switches from one view to another and I never felt an overlap. I really enjoyed these characters, especially Flora. Flora gave me ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ vibes, which is a compliment.

Overall, the storyline kept moving. I was never bored. I was surprised.
