Still wiping the tears from my face…
Such an amazing book. I didn’t want this book to end. I set it down and walked away just to prolong it that much longer. This is such an amazing book. It’s written SO well. The sentences are complicated but poetic. The descriptions read like a dream (sometimes a nightmare…).
I felt transported back into the hurt and pain of WWII.
I easily fell in love with the characters and it pulled at my heart strings so much. I enjoyed that the present day POV was hidden until the very end. SO well done..
I’m still wiping the tears from my face as I finally let myself just cuddle up and finish the book. I read Hannah’s second book first and then stumbled upon this one. I will say, she has now become one of the authors I’m going to look out for. I’ll read anything she writes. Every book, all the characters just take over my heart and soul. She has a way of just taking over your life with her stories. I cannot say enough good things or gush enough of how happy I am I stumbled across her work.
Please read. You must.
