You don’t know anything …
To tell you the truth, I first started reading this and I hated it. I was already ready to give a bad review. I hated the way it was written? I find it odd to say now because I eventually got used to it or the things that annoyed me became invisible while reading.
The characters also annoyed me at first. I just didn’t like them and didn’t want to read about them. I felt they were all whiners and didn’t care about their lives.
Eventually something flipped and I couldn’t put the book down. It started coming together.
My favorite part of the book is you don’t know ANYTHING. Normally there is a preface, you find out someone dies and the rest of the book of figuring out who-dun-it. Not here. You really don’t know what is going to happen … Is this a ‘ghost’ based book? A murder book? Who dies? Who did it?
Moral of this story – if you are apprehensive at first like me, push through. This book comes together beautifully. Great thriller, great build up.
