This book is an easy 5 stars for me. I became VERY obsessed with reading it. It was one of my first (2nd? 3rd?) Hoover book I read … At the time I didnt’ realize this was her first time diving into suspense genre. For her ‘first time’ she knocked it out of the park.
Okay – now I will be real with you. I’m writing this review in Feb 2023 and I read Verity Nov 2022. That isn’t that long ago yet I cannot remember what this book was really about for the life of me. I forgot to take notes, probably because I read it so quickly. After reading the synopsis I’m only getting a bit of recall of what the story was about.
I’m still sticking with my 5 stars, but this isn’t a life changing suspense novel. It’s pretty telling to me now that I cannot remember what this book is about, should say something about the story.
