THE NIGHT SHE DISAPPEARED BY: LISA JEWELL

,

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Another wonderful slow burn from Jewell. She really is a master of weaving and bobbing and lifting you up so high that you inevitably crash when she rips the rug out from under you.
I loved the back and forth timeline. I loved slowly discovering the past along with the characters. The characters were lovable and she did a good job of not making them too cliche of humans.

This book had all my favorite pieces of books, wrapped into one. Set in an old college grounds. In an old college house. Cute ‘detective novel’ writer that wasn’t famous enough to have an ego. A murder we had to solve. Lovely Lisa, just lovely.
I have come to expect nothing but the best from Jewell and she has delivered again.

I’m going with a 4.5 stars rounded up to 5.
