Excellent book – fast paced – easy read…
I really enjoyed this book!
It is one of those ‘mysteries’ that keep going without any lagging. The story just keeps going, which I appreciate. Also because of the wonderful pacing, it was hard to put down and I finished in 2 days (easily could finish in one sitting).
The relationship between Hannah and Bailey (step-mom and step daughter) felt very unique and authentic. The author did a wonderful job building up that relationship slowly and authentically.
The storyline slowly built up, chipping away at clues to get us to the end. Although it kinda got ‘outlandish’ as some reviewers mentioned, it felt no more outlandish than any movie. I’m not sure what others would be expecting. I’m not going to give away any spoilers but this read like a movie and I loved it. (I’m sure the book will always be better than the movie, if they try ha)
Overall, this isn’t the type of book that ‘sticks’ with you. I won’t be thinking about it days later … but I don’t think it’s the type of book that is supposed to. It was quick entertainment that I enjoyed every moment reading.
