I was worried I would be offended.
In the end I wasn’t.I’m okay with Jesus having a wife and agree that part of his story is missing. I did REALLY enjoy this book. I’m not sure if there are others out there, but this is my first book reading about Jesus having a wife and it wasn’t something that ever passed my mind before. So for that, thank you for opening my mind. This book got me thinking and I love it when books do that.
I did get angry at some parts. I didn’t like when certain facts were turned to fiction. I didn’t like that his ministry and miracles were glossed over. I didn’t like how self absorbed Ana was.
I also really enjoyed the story, I started to like Ana (even with all her faults) and liked that she had her own path. This is the story of Ana and Jesus is just in the background. If you think like that, it’s easier to digest.
In the end, this book was well worth it’s read. If anything just to see what all the noise was about. I enjoyed the story and really enjoyed the author’s note at the end. Well done Sue!
