THE BFG BY ROALD DAHL

Can you even review this CLASSIC?
You always remember the book that made you love reading and The BFG was it for me. I was curious to reread as an adult and I’m glad I did. I do have new feelings on the story and how kinda ‘odd’ it is. I mean, thinking back to most fairy tales as an adult and you might get some creepy feelings.
So let’s let go of the creepiness and whatever feelings you have about the actual author and what kind of person he ‘was’. The book itself is cute.

Brings in Queen Elizabeth, giants, dreams, an orphan girl .. who can be just like you! Standing up to what’s right and wrong. Giving others courage to fight back if you can’t fight back yourself. There are some good themes here and that is what a child who is reading it will take away. It’s what I took away. Standing up for people who didn’t ask to be helped and that I could always find a best friend maybe somewhere along my path.
I also enjoyed giggling and glooberfaching at all the fun words. You can’t help yourself.
Excellent story from Dahl and I’m glad I reread it.
