I’m rating this book 4.5 stars. It was good. Great even – I never hated reading it. BUT….

I have read too many books of two friends that start innocent but there are complications when one of the friends falls in love with the other. It just never works out and the reader will always know how the story will enfold. I just want a book about two friends, who stay friends with no sexual tension between each other and fight the world together. 

Still a great story and I loved following along. 

PROS:
– Good writing
– Full story from the beginning of their lives to the end
– Satisfying ending
– Wonderful song lyrics sprinkled throughout
– Jumping back and forth in time smoothly

CONS:
– Long (I enjoyed the length, but I could see others feeling the book was drawn out)
– Above mentioned comment of a predictable, one sided relationship
