Cute fantasy story!
I purposely used the word ‘cute’ because I just picture a teenager picking this up and adoring it. It’s not for a huge sci-fi fan. The world building, lack of magical rules (as other reviewers have said) leave it lacking there … but overall, a really cute story that I think a lot of young adults who aren’t too critical will really love. It was fast paced enough that it could hold their attention.

I dropped it a star due to the issues with world building and the fact that this isn’t the type of book that sits in your soul for very long … but I wouldn’t let that stop you from picking it up if you needed an easy read!
