THE PENNYMORES AND THE CURSE OF THE INVISIBLE QUILL BY ERIC KOESTER

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Such a cute book. I haven’t read a middle-school era book in awhile and this reminded me of the good ol days. Would I recommend this for adults? No.. ha
I appreciate it for what it is. Additional points for the fact that it’s all about reading and writing and protecting the ‘bad people’ (aka the Illeterates) from destroying our joy of reading.

The illustrations were great, although the characters were a bit odd? Not bad, just expected something else. Reminds me of those digital paper dolls we used to all play with.
I would recommend for any child that loves Harry Potter… this could be a new world for them to jump into and love.
