Coben was an author that I got me into obsessive, read-in-one-day, speed reading thrills. This book was no exception. It has been awhile since I had picked up one of his books and I’m sorry for that.
Right from the start we dive into characters and the plot – there is no time to slowly get into this story.
Like all Coben’s books – we are taken on a ride, lifted up, made to look another way and then the big reveal happens.
I read this in one sitting and enjoyed myself. It’s like sitting down to watch a movie…. which is exactly what I was looking for.
Overall, highly recommend. I did drop a star because some plot points I did not ‘get’ – they seemed too out there and puzzle pieces weren’t fitting as perfectly as I wished… a lot of these points are focused around Maura.
A wonderful book and I won’t hesitate in the future to pick up another one of Harlan Coben’s masterpieces.
