A cute ‘how to’ parent book. Although I don’t have kids, I appreciated the advice Bitz gives. To summarize, it feels like he is telling parents to be chill but adventurous. I loved it.
Very sensible advice.
Great ideas of how to get out there, that doesn’t involve sticking an iPad in front of your kid’s face.
Also some insight of some dramatic moments in Bitz’s life that seemed to have trigger these epiphanies.
My only criticism would be, the whole book feels like a collection of blog posts. Which isn’t a ‘bad’ thing, but doesn’t make the book feel as special as it could be. I received an electronic copy, I’m curious what the hard copy would be like? The pictures and graphics could have been ‘better’.
Always hard being the first goodreads review. I feel pressure as I’m setting the bar for everyone else, so take that into account. I would give this 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. A lot of good information here and with a bit more creative working, this book could be more than an instructional book but rather an inspirational book.
