THE THURSDAY MURDER CLUB BY RICHARD OSMAN

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Let’s start this review off with getting the elephantout the room… I tried to like this book. Subconsciously I know I didn’t really like it.
I feel I am being nice with my 3.5, rounded up to 4, stars. It was way too confusing, the amount of mysteries and storylines didn’t’ come together in the end as I was expecting. As each mystery twist was revealed I was let down. I was made to feel I should be on the edge of my seat but then with a long winded explanation I was left deflated.

As other reviewers have pointed out, the characters are enjoyable. I wish the author would have realized that, played that up more(?) and left the actual mystery second to the wonderful cast of characters.
As I said earlier, my rating is being kind. I wouldn’t recommend this book and I feel happier than I should that this book is over with and I can read something else.
