At the beginning of this review, I still don’t know what to rate it…
I’m so conflicted. I hated this book, loved this book but am left mostly confused about my feelings. I will say, I FINISHED IT. Being able to finish a book get you 2 stars in my eyes at a min.
The couldn’t connect with some of the characters, which I don’t think you should be downgraded for – but it still really bothered me.
The world building was so complicated – probably too complicated – for what the author seemed to be trying to get across. Still, no need to downgrade.
It was such a unique premise. A unique world. A unique story. The author must love birds to have such a bird filled world (ha).
Overall, I wouldnt go out of my way for this book, but I got it for free from the publisher (thank you) and I’m not mad I read it. It was a quick story I was able to chew through in a day and I feel like I’m walking away knowing more about birds.
P.S. I know nothing more about birds. Don’t read this book if you want to learn more about birds. If birds were to take over the world, get in our heads and somehow become magical – I would feel more prepared than most due to reading this book.
