The Vaster Wilds By: Lauren Geoff

Rating: 2 out of 5.

This book is about a girl, escaping her past life, her abuse. But at the heart of it, it’s really about the journey and definitely not about the destination.
And to put it simply, in summary this book is absolutely boring.
There is only so many times you can read about the girls hardship as she makes the journey. There’s only so many ways to describe her feelings of being cold and hungry. I think the author tried to make this a beautiful tale of struggles, but in the end it was just repetitive . There were a few moments where I thought, here we go! Only to let that small glimpse of activity and originality leave the reader with nothing.
I did finish this book. But as you can see from how long it took me, I wish I would have DNF it.
